Aside from being one of our sponsors for over fifteen years, Cox Communications has been doing some amazing things for the Santa Barbara Community and Nationwide.

Roughly fifteen years ago, Cox Communications recognized a need within the Santa Barbara Community and decided to partner with the Santa Barbara County Education Office’s Computers for Families Program in order to offer affordable Internet for the families of low-income students in 52 different schools ranging through nine different districts within Santa Barbara County. Little did they know that this very initiative would be the model for the national Connect2Compete program that Cox Communications partnered with in order to offer affordable Internet to students in grades K-12 who qualify for the National School Lunch program. Connect2Compete now has over 25,000 families enrolled nationwide.

Largely due to the success of the C2C program, President Obama just initiated the Connect Home Program, which will offer Internet to low-income residents in select public housing facilities.

Back on the Santa Barbara home front, Cox Communications still partners with Computers for Families continuing to offer Internet access as well as access to refurbished computers and technical training for families who qualify. We could not be more proud to recognize this amazing sponsor for all they have done and continue to do for the youth within the Santa Barbara Community and beyond!
